URI Africa commemorated the 2014 International Day of Peace in two ways this year.

Earlier this week, URI partner the Council for a Parliament for the World’s Religions announced that its signature conference would be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, US in October of 2015. 

For this year's International Day of Peace (IDP), URI’s Cooperation Circles (CCs) in Sri Lanka held several engaging events throughout the region.

Youth Society for Peace in Nepal held several youth programs in a three-day celebration of International Day of Peace (IDP) at Peace Service Centre’s Ashram in Kathmandu.

Two URI Youth Representatives to the United Nations (UN) joined Malala Yousafzai, the 17 year-old Pakistani women’s and education rights activist, at UN headquarters in New York August 18th.

The African Centre for Peace Building in Ghana celebrated International Day of Peace this year with a Youth Peace Forum from September 18-20^th.
