Membership Growth Coordinator and Partnerships Lead
Lejla Hasandedic-Dapo, Ph.D., is a psychologist, psychotherapist, lecturer, and peacebuilder from Bosnia and Herzegovina. She completed her Ph.D. in Psychology at Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University in Türkiye, where her research focused on the transgenerational transmission of trauma and resilience.
Lejla previously served as a URI Youth Ambassador and, since 2013, has been actively engaged with the United Religions Initiative (URI) network, including serving as URI Europe Cooperation Circle Liaison Officer. She is also the co-founder of Youth for Peace, a youth-led organization in Bosnia and Herzegovina recognized for its work in peacebuilding, interfaith dialogue, and reconciliation.
Passionate about fostering cultures of peace and dialogue, Lejla is trained as a Nonviolent Communication trainer, Learning to Live Together trainer, and is a KAICIID and Peace Practice Alliance (PPA) Fellow. In March 2022, she joined the URI Global Staff team, where she currently serves as Membership Growth Coordinator and Partnerships Lead, supporting the expansion and vitality of URI’s global network.
