Jathika Ekamuthuwa works to strengthen community wellbeing and social harmony through grassroots initiatives that support development, education, and intercultural understanding. Its activities include identifying and implementing community development programs, promoting entrepreneurship through training and support for self-employment and small industries, and encouraging skills such as multilingual communication. The group also organizes sports, health, and cultural activities while supporting and celebrating religious and cultural festivals from different traditions to build stronger connections across communities.
Guided by values of unity, compassion, inclusion, and service, the Cooperation Circle works to foster peaceful coexistence among Sri Lanka’s diverse communities. Its initiatives include free health clinics for elderly populations, educational support and school supply distribution for children from low-income families, and awareness programs on social challenges such as drug prevention in collaboration with local institutions. Through these efforts, Jathika Ekamuthuwa seeks to empower youth, support vulnerable communities, and contribute to a more compassionate, inclusive, and united Sri Lanka.
