Empowering Young Women: Nigeria, 2024
In Nigeria, URI supported essential education and training for 200 young girls on sexual and reproductive health and rights, healthy life choices, and goal setting. Fifty girls received sustainable period kits, with another 150 receiving sanitary pads. Participants came from 10 schools, representing 20% of the district’s total.
Inspired by the success, our partner is now creating a tailored training plan to reach more young women across Africa and the Middle East, including DIY training for reusable menstrual products, especially vital for girls and women in conflict settings.
